We invite you to enjoy with us the events that take place in Medio Cudeyo all the year round. From the celebrations and spectacles that are part of the local tradition to cultural and educational activities.
Europe has a rich multicultural character, full of different languages, religions, cultures and ethic origins. The European information point, from the youth, local development and tourism department, organizes this event yearly. This series invites audience to explore such a rich heritage and learn different traditions, as well as knowing first-hand how our European neighbours live and interact. The conferences are given by European Union citizens who live in Medio Cudeyo or near and bear witness of their way of life in their countries.
In the 13th century, the king of Castilla, Alfonso X the Wise composed his literary masterpiece: The “Cantigas” (medieval poems) of Santa María. In one of them, the King told of the miracle performed by the Virgin of Santa María de Cudeyo upon the body of a disabled man. This poem provides a reason to celebrate a Medieval Festival every year during August. Relive an atmosphere of smells, music, colours, jobs and flavours that will take you back over 800 years.
